Some of these venue's I've worked at before and other's I haven't but any wedding with a dog involved is one I would love to be a part of!
Bert’s Barrow is a family run farm in Hillam, North Yorkshire, where they are passionate about their guests making memories, having a happy time & feeling at home on their farm. Their stunning, rustic barns can hold up to 500 guests (including the furry kind) making them the perfect place for weddings big or small!
With plenty of outdoor space & three generous barns as well as the courtyard & paddock, your special day will feel unique, rustic, relaxed & altogether wholesome in this stunning countryside setting. They hold a licence for you to be married there & you have the option to have your ceremony inside or outside - weather dependant! LiquidCatering run a fully stocked bar & have a wide range of street food available. Should you choose to opt for caterers, Charlotte (who runs the farm with her husband Jason) will be happy to recommend all sorts of super local businesses to make your day particularly delicious!
For a unique setting in the Yorkshire Dales look no further than Chilli Barn, Otley. A traditional Yorkshire stone barn unlike many others thanks to it comfortable size & thoughtful decor which seamlessly combines rustic charm with a touch of glamour. What’s more, this picturesque rural setting is only a stones throw away from urban centres including Otley & Leeds.
Within The Barn itself, the mezzanine level frames the stunning antique chandelier which hangs over the ceremony space creating the focal point of The Barn’s interior. Downstairs is light, airy & perfect for photos with the fairy light backdrop adding a little sparkle to the space. The high-arched, south-facing glazed wagon door overlooking the meadows fills the ground floor & spacious mezzanine with light & the bi-folding double doors open wide giving direct access to the lawn which joins on to rolling grassy meadows for as far as the eye can see - perfect for summer weddings & for those couples with fur babies who love to stretch their legs & run free! During the warmer months the grounds come to life with beautiful climbing roses, wildflowers & rustic pots & planters creating a dreamy country garden feel. This venue is most suited to those looking for a smaller, more intimate wedding. The Barn’s size allows for a maximum of 60 day guests in the summer months & 40 in the winter months with capacity for 90 at night all seasons. With popular vegetarian & vegan wedding breakfast menus, freshly prepared & cooked in Chilli Barn’s own lower ground floor kitchen, as well as classic British, Middle-Eastern & Far-Eastern themed family style sharing options or the option of mouth-watering three course plated dishes - you are sure to find something that will excite & delight your guests.
Chill Barn also has a well stocked bar with a wide range of wines, beers & spirits - many of which are organic, vegetarian & locally sourced - there will be a tipple for every tastebud!
