Ashley & Andy got in touch with me a few months before their wedding date after their original photographer could no longer make their wedding. I was so pleased I was still available and could photograph their special day for them. After meeting up with the couple at their venue The Bridge Hotel & Spa and discussing their plans for the day I couldn't wait to be a part of it.
The day started at the hotel with the bridal preparations. Ashely looked stunning and was just having the finishing touches done to her hair and make-up by the very talented Marci as I arrived. I was also joined by Rachel from Sakura Productions who was doing the video for the day and was so great to work alongside.
I couldn't believe it when Ashley told me that her wedding dress cost less than £50 from Shein! With a few alterations and lace added to the neckline it looked amazing! Ashley's and the bridesmaid's bouquets were by Lottie Roberts Flowers and the baby blue colour scheme that Ashley had chosen looked so pretty and perfect for a summer wedding.
After a beautiful ceremony everyone made their way outside to welcome Ashley & Andy's dog Georgie the cockapoo, who stole the show a little by arriving in a convertible wearing a little suit and tie. He was chaperoned by Throw a Dog a bone pet services and joined us for some photos which he was super excited about!
Ashley & Andy had a bit of a festival theme to their day with a Glastonbury cake made by Amazing Cakes by Amanda, and each table named after a festival they had been to. The Acoustic Wedding Singer played live in the courtyard during their drinks reception for guests to enjoy and they had also planned to spend a mini moon at Glastonbury straight after their wedding but unfortunately due to Covid it got postponed until 2022.
To finish off an amazing day, Ashley & Andy had bought some smoke bombs to use, and despite the weather turning to rain they embraced it and we had so much fun with them.
